You Are We launch party w/David Keno, Kindisch Berlin @ Corbet Place
10 March, 2009 | 6.21AMThis month’s headline booking ((David Keno)) (((kindisch, Berlin))) brings a taste of Berlin’s house and techno scene to London for the launch of You Are We @ ((Corbet Place)) on the ((12th of April)).
With releases such as Grutane, Tout le temps, Discoteca, Pattex and Monosynth playing across the dance floors of everywhere from Watergate to Fabric we look forward to welcoming David to one of East London’s best venues, ((Corbet Place)).
As one of the scenes most exciting producers, David’s sound perfectly embodies our musical ethos and vision, thus making him the ideal booking for the launch party!
((Kindisch)), the label David is signed to has featured releases from many superb producers as well as David Keno, including Jay Haze who’s Soul in a bottle was a huge hit on the imprint a few years back. Other artists who have also released on the label include hot new industry names such as H.O.S.H as well as long established heavyweights such as DJ T.
Taking a quote from the labels website shows how the very ideals that founded the label perfectly reflect our own.
“Kindisch (Childish in English)...is a new playground where artists are invited to run free and experiment within all the varieties of contemporary house music…
...It has become a safe haven for those who still feel the true spirit of house music and simultaneously have the desire to extend its boundaries and borders.”
For us it is important that all our bookings share our vision as this is the only way to reinforce the musical message we believe in. We will never book an artist to fill our chosen venue on name alone. Instead, You are we brings the right audience to the artist, a factor we hope will make our events a place where the DJs themselves and other musically orientated people want to be.
