‘You Are So Sick’ when you ‘Shake Your Derriere’

Remember when padded shoulders, extra large sweaters, stockings and neon colors ruled the world?

Well, those days are back with Sick’s newest bid for world disco dominance: YOU ARE SO SICK!

The original mix is currently #14 on the Indie Dance/Nu Disco chart!

Behind Sick stands Swedish House messiah, Dumb Dan [a] (aka. Daniel Lindeberg [a]). His love and sense for what made the 80’ies so unique transfers so well to his signature blend of House with Synth Pop references. Not only is it an homage to the most important decade in dance music history, it’s also a reinvention of it.

A: YOU ARE SO SICK (ORIGINAL MIX)
Complete with Moroder bass, falsetto vocals and a clever hook that goes straight for the reward center in your brain, YOU ARE SO SICK! makes all the right moves to drag people onto the floor with a dumb grin on their faces.

B: SHAKE YOUR DERRIERE
der⋅ri⋅ère
  [der-ee-air; Fr. de-ryer] –noun
the buttocks; rump. Also, der⋅ri⋅ere.________________________________________
Origin:
1765–75; < F (prep., n.); OF deriere < VL *dē retrō, for L retrō towards the rear, backwards; cf. arrear.

Sick! takes a firm grab around your caboose and shakes it all around in this dirty little rump shaker of a track. Suave vocoder vocals, retro synths hangning thick in the air, and a grand club feel to boot makes this the perfect House hors doeuvre.

B2:  YOU ARE SO SICK! (DUMB DAN REMIX)
Dumb Dan gives it the proper dumb treatment with a twist. A little less shoulder padding and some more House trimmings are added to the recipe. A great way to 80’ies up your set by going back to the future.
