At Manumission last Friday night, Beatportal grabbed X-Press 2 before the end of their set to ask them for their top 3 tracks.

Although they’ve charted their own releases, they’re all new mixes and they’ve been dropping them in every set in support of their new ‘greatest hits’ album ‘Raise Your Hands’.

The good side of funkiness and retaining the heart of the original. Our old mate Danny is involved, so you know it’s going to be great.

X-Press 2 ‘Muzik X-Press’ (Skylark Remix) [Skint Records]

Nic originally did a bootleg mix about 10 years ago, so we felt it was time for him to do something legal! Again the heart of the original is there, but the guys have injected something modern into it.

X-Press 2 ‘Smoke Machine’ (James Talk Remix) [Skint Records]

James’ mix has introduced that real tech-y, electro edge to the original, which we and the punters love. This mix just sounds bigger and better every time we play it.
