WMC Video: Stephan Bodzin on Lemur multi-touch

JazzMutant’s beautiful multi-touch controller Lemur has carved itself a miniscule niche amongst electronic music producers who can afford its $2000 price tag, and on Sunday at the Beatport Pool Party at WMC Stephan Bodzin demonstrated the awesome power of touch-screening (see, we turned it into a verb) a DJ set.

From this video, you can see that Bodzin is able to manipulate and adjust all of Traktor’s controls (which is on his laptop behind the Lemur).

It’s an incredibly unique controller for the DJ market, and miles away from the tactile, physical button/knob controllers elsewhere.

However its price means there will be few DJs out there who can afford it. Sniffle.
