Claude VonStroke needs no introduction. His productions are admired by many and he has had a string of hits in the last few years including the massive ‘Who’s Afraid of Detroit’ and ‘Deepthroat’.

His new remix of Poxymusic ‘War Paint’ [track No.2 in the player] is another VonStroke belter, except in a much more refined and downtempo way.

It is a darker, more subtle dancefloor weapon and as such we reckon it’ll blow up big at Miami’s Winter Music Conference in March.

With its huge white noise builds which drop down into a bleep led groove it’s a perfect set builder or opener.

There’s a vocal that utters something about “soldiers” which makes it feel like a call to arms.

Atmospheric and intense, this is quality techno.
