Look out! Radio Slave’s remix of Mlle Caro and Franck Garcia ‘Dead Souls’ is a dancefloor destroyer of the highest caliber.

With it’s epic vocal and hypnotic melodies this is 99% guaranteed to be one of the biggest tracks at Miami WMC 2008 next week.

At almost 12 minutes long, Radio Slave builds and builds tension and atmosphere very slowly over time.

It starts off with a simple bleep led groove, before he brings in the vocals, taking the track in a more poppy direction.

Vocals in dance music can quickly become tiring, but the vocals on ‘Dead Souls’ are quite indy and understated, which further enhances their longevity.

Rather than pushing your mind away from the beats, the vocals suck you into the music as Radio Slave cleverly arranges them like a chef might sprinkle a cake carefully with sugar.

Pads and synths build up behind the vocals, making the track more melancholic and trancey. The bleep goes on.

Radio Slave didn’t call his remix the ‘Long Distance Kiss Mix’ for nothing, it really does keep plodding along like a marathon runner, at a tempo that keeps the energy level steady.
