WMC Track: Chevy, Lemos ‘Woman’s Key’ (Ali Nasser’s Deepness Remix)
22 March, 2008 | 12.35PM- Section: Music News Topics: DJ Gossip, Miami WMC 2008
Our WMC track predictions have, on the whole, been club bangers that will tear apart clubs at 3am, but Miami’s annual WMC isn’t all about the club nights, it’s also about the pool parties and beach gatherings.
And for those occasions thrashing techno just won’t do.
Ali Nasser’s Deepness Remix of Chevy and Lemos ‘Woman’s Key’ though, is the perfect tech house/deep house groove for those late afternoons during WMC.
House has been getting so sexy recently because house producers are starting to fuse more techno and deep house feeling into their tracks.
Chevy and Lemos’ vocals on ‘Woman’s Key’ however sound like they were influenced by the vocals Burial used on his ‘Archangel’ single, which is no bad thing.
They’re soulful, melancholic and not really about anything in particular (which is no bad thing).
Move along, nothing to see here except top quality house.
