WMC Track: 2000 And One ‘Dat Na Poku’

Dutch star 2000 And One delivered an excellent album ‘Heritage’ recently, as all eight tracks were focused solely on the dancefloor and designed for club destruction.

Out of all the tracks on the album, the chunky house grooves of ‘Dat Na Poku’ is most likely destined for WMC greatness as it’s an incredibly satisfying mid-set roller that revels in its subtle loop-centric arrangement.

‘Dat Na Poku’ is about as solid as a rock when it comes to dancefloor reliability, as the track plays out much like the stupendous 2000 And One remix of Metazoo ‘Sigh’ from 2007, that similarly offered flawless housey loops with a simple bassline.

There’s no giant breakdown, and Hermelijn’s signature driving percussion and lack of obvious FX makes this a dream DJ tool.

When you play this, breathe a sigh of relief as it quite simply works.
