WMC 2008: The Miami Insider 005
23 March, 2008 | 8.16AM- Section: Music News
You are, no doubt, beginning to feel a bit fatigued.
It’s been over 72 hours since you’ve caught some good sleep, but the party must go on.
Well, since you’ve been wandering around the Ultra Music Festival for the past five hours, and it’s only the first day of UMF, you might as well pack it up there and move on.
A good choice is right across the street (stumbling distance, people!).
The FUTURE SOUND of BREAKS is putting on it’s 6th annual WMC party at AREA 51 in Downtown Miami.
With all five rooms in AREA 51 taken over, you can hear the likes of my man DJ Icey, ElectroBass leaders Jackal & Hyde and Dynamix II, plus DJ Craze, Krafty Kuts and so many more!
FSOB has taken the show on tour this year, showcasing a lot of Miami and other Florida talent.
The HYDRAULIX duo aka ASH-ROCK & JIMI THE GENIUS have been rocking electro bass since the 90’s.
Even Florida breaks legend MERLYN comes out for a spot.
The event is highly organized and usually sticks to it’s time slots.
Check out their web site for more details on the lineup.
So, if you want to hear some more booming bass and breakbeats, scurry on over to AREA 51 for a dose.
By the way, they have REALLY BIG bass-bins over there, so if needed, come over, and curl up in one for that free massage you tried to get in at Ultra, but the yellow shirted security guards pulled you out of before you even got to begin your blow-up.
Carry on.
