Win tickets to Sardinia’s JUNE Festival

If you’re looking for a soft landing after this weekend’s Sónar festival, you might consider hightailing it to the Mediterranean island of Sardinia, conveniently accessible via ferry from Barcelona. (EasyJet, Air Berlin, Jet2 and other low-cost carriers also offer direct flights to Sardinia from most major European cities.) From Thursday, June 23 through Sunday, June 26, the island will host the second annual JUNE Electronic Dance Holidays, an intimate, low-key gathering held in the seaside community of San Teodoro, promising a tantalizing mixture of open-air sessions and club events.

Despite the small scale, JUNE boasts an impressive lineup, including Ellen Allien, Zip, Matt John (live), Daniele Papini, Jin Choi (live), Hugo, Sierra Sam, Andrea Ferlin, Sammy Dee, Hubble, Matteo Spedicati, Alex Jones, Alessio Mereu (live), Tom Demac, and others.

As the organizers explain it, “JUNE isn’t your average 24/7 rave festival. The artists aren’t just coming to San Teodoro for a quick performance, they actually stay a few days and simply enjoy life… and so should you. You’re an integral contribution to the feel-good atmosphere of the festival and not just a simple tourist. Imagine a holiday with friends that is accompanied by a variety of international talents the current House and Techno scene has to offer.”

JUNE’s organizers have generously offered two pairs of festival passes to give away to Beatportal’s readers. Just send an email to beatport at thejune dot net with “BEATPORT” in the subject line, include your name and country of origin in the email, and you’ll be automatically entered to win. On June 21, the JUNE crew will pick two names at random, each of which will win a pair of festival passes. Winners can pick up their passes (bring identification!) at the festival check-in or at the club entrance. (Transportation and accommodations are your own responsibility, so please, only enter if you plan to actually make the trip to Sardinia, should you win.)
