We’ve just touched down in Detroit, Michigan and the weather is perfect for an outdoor techno knees-up.

For the next four days we’ll be sending live blog updates from the frontline (and backline) of Movement festival aka Detroit Electronic Music Festival, a three-day event that celebrates Detroit’s rich techno heritage.

The lineup for Movement 2008 features all the biggest names in techno—both Detroit-born legends and underground artists, plus new school international names.

Whilst the festival is taking place at Hart Plaza during the days, there are a large number of official and unofficial Movement afterparties happening each night. Wahoo.

For a techno fan, the next three days is a dream come true and the Beatportal team will bring you the action as it happens for all those who couldn’t make it to Detroit.
