Weekend Weapons…Sebo K

Weekend Weapons…Sebo K

This week’s Weekend Weapons piece features an upfront selection from Mobilee Records’ Sebo K [a].

Having built up a solid reputation during 2007 thanks to numerous killer club cuts, the Berlin based DJ/producer has had a comparatively quiet 2008, although he did find time to release ‘Diva’, one of the biggest and most widely supported tracks of the year.

This weekend’s gigs saw him embark on a UK-based double header, headlining Phonica Records’ huge birthday celebration at Corsica Studios in London alongside Prins Thomas [a], then traveling up to Liverpool for Mumu @ Club So on Saturday.

Here are the three biggest dancefloor destroyers from Sebo K’s weekend.

1. Marco Carola ‘Bloody Cash’ (Plus 8)

Get ‘Bloody Cash’ [Beatport]

This track is the ultimate peak time bomb in my sets at the moment! It’s a typically Marco Carola [a] track with a great tribal groove and this one comes additionally with a great hookline that you’ll still remember when you are back home from the club. The reactions when I play this are ecstatic.

2. Koljah & Oliver Deutschmann ‘Eaten Back To Live’ (Konsequenz)

I’m a big fan of Koljah’s work and this one is no exception. Here he collaborated with Oliver Deutschmann [a]. It’s the perfect late night or early morning soundtrack. Very deep, moody and full of mystic atmosphere.

3. Imps Remixes Vol. 2 (Mule)

Expected release date 20th Dec

I was already really into the Imps album. Imps is Minilogue [a] [l] and with this project they are going a bit more into a freestyle disco direction. Here are two great remixes by Isolee [a] and Move D [a]. I can’t decide which one is my favourite so I always have to play both of them.
