We want your feedback on Beatport’s new search beta
7 October, 2009 | 9.04AMBeatport has released a new search functionality to provide customers a more effective way to discover music. This ‘beta search’ feature is available to all Beatport users but must be activated. Read on for activation instructions.

To activate the beta search click the ‘use new search’ button in the search drop down.
Search
The New Beatport Search lets you explore our massive catalog of over 640,000 tracks, 140,000 releases, 88,000 artists, 7,000 labels, 17,000 charts, and 1,600 mixes.
Looking for a certain track on a particular label? Simply type the track and label names in the search field in the upper left-hand corner of the site. Beatport’s ‘beta search’ will accept any combination of track, chart, mix, release, remixer, artist, and label names to return the most relevant results from our extensive library.
As you type, a list of our most popular matching artists and labels will be displayed. Selecting any of the items in the list will instantly take you to the detail page.

Results
Preview tracks, queue results to your playlist, and add any favorite labels and artists to your ‘My Beatport’ lists from this view. Fine tune your search results by applying content filters located in the left main navigation, limiting the page results to display exactly what you are looking for.

Feedback
We would like to hear your suggestions on how we can make our search better. Tell us what you think in the thread below, from the feedback button on Beatport.com, or send an email to site-feedback@beatport.com. We are all looking forward to hearing your feedback on the new ‘beta search’.
