We Rock EP
We Rock EP
Uppermost [L8-Night Records]
4 February, 2009 | 2.37PMFans of Deadmau5, we may have a prodigy on our hands. With this ‘We Rock’ release, 19-year-old Frenchman Uppermost
shows how you don’t need to be old to have dancefloor wisdom.
With two other releases out in January on Starlight
and Motivo
, this young artist has started 2009 in a very strong way, and ‘We Rock’ could further build his reputation in the electro house community.
The original fuses a massive kick with a symphony of bubble-like sounds before introducing a robotic vocal and huge, low-end synths (a sound very similar to something the Moog Lil’ Phatty or Prophet ’08 would be capable of producing.)
The French Government
Crazy Remix provides a more housey feel, substituting the low synth for piano stabs and melodic strings.
Keep an eye out for this youngster, as he wouldn’t be the first teenage bedroom producer to reach the top of Beatport electro charts. Coincidentally, L8-Night Records
, has a handful of young talent on its roster, and may be worth watching too.
