Thanks for all the incredible input that we have received over the last three weeks. Some of the ideas were great, others were good reinforcement for features that we have been wanting to add for quite some time. Its always a challenge to decide where to draw the line. One thing that we guarantee, Beatport 4.0 is going to be another monumental update.

Over the next few months, we’ll be adding features and updates to the site in an ongoing effort to improve the performance and shopping experience. We’ve recently added Pay-Pal and in the coming weeks we’ll add support for seven languages. These will include English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. You might also notice that we’ve been adding text to the bottom of our page. That will continue to evolve as we work to improve Beatport’s integration with the search engines. We’ve recently launched the Beatport Downloader which will continue to become an important component of the user experience. I urge any of you reading this that have not installed the downloader to do so immediately. Its an amazingly beneficial tool.

We continue to invest in the website because we believe that Beatport needs to consistently improve the user experience. I will continue to use my blog space to deliver updates as we go down this path. In the next few days, I’ll post a summary of everyone’s suggestions. This is an incredibly important process to get the users involved in the development. The ideas and support being generated are taken very seriously. For various reasons, we won’t be able to execute all the ideas, but the best features will be included in the next update scheduled for 2008.

For Beatport, 2008 already has a full schedule of releases. Its amazing how optimized we are becoming as we race to keep up with the internet space. Web 2.0, Web 3.0 and beyond fuel our ambitions. Its really inspiring to be on the cutting edge of these technologies and have our customers pushing us along the way.
