Warp Records, one of, if not the foremost label in the world of electronica, is celebrating its landmark 20th anniversary this year with a host of parties across the globe.

As part of this obviously joyous occasion, the ever clever types over at the label are allowing their disciples to choose the music for the imprint’s upcoming ‘greatest hits’ compilation via a dedicated microsite built especially for the occasion.

Users can vote on tracks from the entire Warp back catalogue, leave personal messages for their reasons behind selections and view the current chart as it happens.

Spanning two decades of groundbreaking musical merriment from artists like Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Boards Of Canada, Nightmares On Wax, Autechre and Flying Lotus, all we can say is good luck playing favourites.

Although details are somewhat scant at this stage, a number of ‘Warp 20’ parties have been planned, taking in Paris in May, New York in July, Sheffield in August, London in September and Tokyo in November.

The line up for the Paris event has in fact been confirmed, with Aphex Twin, Andrew Weatherall, Flying Lotus and Pivot appearing at what promises to be quite a shindig.
