Steve Lawler now calls us Ant & Dec!

For US audiences, they are very well known British TV comedians.

We reach Las Vegas delirious and with no sleep whatsoever.

It’s hard to sleep on a bus when Steve is providing an almost endless collection of toilet humour jokes and who, along with Anthony, seem to have formed a coalition that purposely concentrates on taking the piss out of myself non-stop which I almost enjoy in a twisted way, as it seems to provide the perfect entertainment in the confined spaces of our tour bus.

We arrive at the parking lot of the Hard Rock hotel at around 2pm and immediately after taking a shower, Anthony and I (both being Vegas virgins) are being shown around by Steve and David.

The big adventure starts once again and we all seem to forget that sleep has abandoned us since the start of the tour (if anybody knows a way to gain sleep while in motion and with our eyes open we’d be very happy to have you as a guest on the bus in exchange for this precious information) and concentrates on the many things that Vegas has to offer: that means shopping, gambling and gaping at oversized breasts that almost every woman seems to have here. Is this Silicon Valley?

David the tour manager knows how to keep control

A quick stop at the hotel and a very lovely dinner at Ago are followed by Anthony and I hitting the decks at Body English.

The club is lovely and is full of a very enthusiastic crowd that gets on it almost immediately.

Unexpected to be honest, as we never thought our style of music would go down so well in Vegas.

Steve follows us with a kick ass set that leaves the punters wanting more.

After the club we are left with nothing else to do than “invest” our earnings in some good ‘ol gambling experience. Or so I thought!

Unfortunately sleep deprivation catches up with me in a big way and I end up in bed 20 minutes after the club.

Steve, Ant and David are the real troopers, flying the flag for me, in my absence…

Steve even wins $400 at the blackjack tables, which make up for David and Anthony’s losses.

They obviously missed me too much as they dutifully arrive in my room 30 minutes before the bus arrives for pick up and try to wake me up by sticking chocolate in my mouth and shaking me uncontrollably.

In the end Steve has to offer me $100 out of his winnings to get me out of bed…I leap up….I’ll do anything for a buck.

We get into the bus almost cathartic, wanting nothing more than to hit the bunk beds.

Eight hours of sleep later we arrive in “Pleasantville” aka Sacramento.

The afternoon consists of Anthony and Steve finally installing Logic on the bus’s computer and me picking up Neapolitan pizzas and various other things around the city.

The bus is parked just outside the club, which is amazing as it allows us to laze around until dinner time and then our gig.

The club opens up with a fashion show, which seems to be a little out of character in all honesty but allows us to start the room in a deep and slow fashion as it’s almost empty when we begin.

It never gets to full capacity but everybody in there makes a huge effort to show their appreciation for Lawler and ourselves.

It might not be the most discerning city in the U.S. when it comes to dance music but we all have loads of fun nonetheless.

As I write this, one of my eyes is closed and the other one is looking at the bunk bed on my left. 11 days to go….
