Day 5: A recap

Behind the decks in Montreal
The longest day ever.
Hi, this is Ant from Audiofly. Sorry to deliver a weekend of blogs in one go, but we have literally been on the road nonstop.
Luca, myself and Dave Beynon (who is responsible for our general well-being, yeah right!) flew to London where we connected with Steve Lawler
and from there we all flew to Canada.
Since the moment we landed everything has become a blur.
Thursday night we played Tribe in Montreal (amazing club with an even more amazing crowd), where of course we all re-discovered our devotion to Grey Goose and cousin Don Julio.
We worshiped them until the early hours and then all jumped on the tour bus heading to Toronto.

Breakfast on the tour bus
I woke up very confused (no change there), hit the hotel for showers and stuff, and then straight into club mode again - This is London.
Our friends the Goose and the Mexican showed up again, alongside a whole crew who came from Montreal from the night before, making it an insane night.
I asked everyone involved to give me their impressions of the night, and no one remembers anything.
It was just a musical blur of sick sounds and a very up-for-it dancefloor.

Toronto clubgoers
Surprisingly, leaving Canada the next day was a little difficult.
Steve and Dave went in one direction, and the ‘Flys went in another.
We crossed the border by car (say no more) whilst the other chaps took a nice little plane ride.

Steve Lawler goes grizzly
We picked up our luggage and went straight to the club. Arrived an hour late due to a few minor snags, did a bit of strippin’ behind the DJ booth (unfortunately we don’t seem to make much money out of this sideline hobby) and it was on with the show.
Beta Club in Denver is Beatport’s newest offering to the club world. Great crowd where we all showed off our music to an amazing soundsystem. It was warm as fuck. You could played gabba on that system and it would sound smooooooth.
Right now my brain is now totally failing...where did we end up?
Ah yeah, plane to Chicago and a a wicked Sunday night affair at Spy Bar.
By now we’re all getting a bit sick of the sight of anything alcoholic, but we are all troopers and trained professionals in this arena, so we continue to fight the good fight and try not to listen too hard to the liver cries.
Then back on the bus. And from there to here, on the bus, driving across middle America, please don’t ask us where we are, I don’t even think the bus driver knows. But I hear ‘Deliverance’-styled banjos every now and then.

Hello from small town America
We are keeping the doors locked!
It’s been a wicked first leg of the tour.
The music shows have been as slick as poss, the music programing between ourselves and Lawler is impeccable, we go deep and housed out.
Then Steve comes on with his house and takes it up and on. We then go back to back for the last hour for some fun & frolics.
Amazing continuity musically, and we are having a great laugh.
I think by the end of the tour, no one is gonna understand a word we’re saying, as we are developing our own twisted ‘cabin-fever’ humor. Wednesday – Vegas!!
