Techno has been mainly defined by UR, Axis, Tresor, Plus 8, Basic Channel and Downwards Records from Birmingham.

Since Downwards has been on ice for quite a few years, the crew behind the label has established a new outlet: Sandwell District.

As usual there has been no promotion, no media and press kits, not much information and no hype machine, but despite the blackout Sandwell District remains one of the most consistent, authentic and highest quality outlets for techno music.

After the remarkable success of Function´s latest single, he submits a remix to this new release from the Silent Servant.

This is the perfect soundtrack for arguably best techno club in the world: Berghain (Berlin).

And as always, this release of three stunning techno tracks is of exceptional quality.
