Video: Yet another Daft Punk rip off

Here’s yet another Daft Punk rip off. The French duo’s track ‘Veridis Quo’ has now been lazily used as a backing song for hip hop/r&b singer Jazmine Sullivan to croon over.

Unlike Kanye West’s ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’ sampling though, ‘Veridis Quo’ plays out in its full entirety.

Kanye West using the Daft Punk sample undoubtedly led to a resurgence in US popularity for the pair, which was epitomised by them scooping two awards at this year’s Grammys for ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’ that was originally released in 2001 and for their album ‘Alive 2007’ from the same year.

But what do you think about Daft Punk being sampled continuously by the hip hop/r&b community?
