The last few days have been pretty tough on the Sasha and John Digweed tour.

First Sasha lost his bag containing all the documentation he’d need to cross the Canadian border, so John had to play solo at Kool Haus in Toronto.

Then straight after the Toronto gig we loaded up the bus and drove 10 hours straight to Chicago.

Now we’re in St Louis, Missouri - here’s quick video update I filmed of us loading in for tonight’s show.

Whilst the bunks provide a dark and warm place to sleep, there’s not much that can be done about the pot holes or road bumps from waking you up.

Or indeed, the customs and border police, who dragged us out of our bunks at 7am crossing the US/Canadian border after the Toronto show so they could search the bus.

There was barely enough time to shower and eat dinner in Chi Town before Chicago’s sold out show at House of Blues kicked off.

At least Sasha and John could perform back to back again, and the energy level and atmosphere in the venue was top.

“It was a great show, and the venue was packed straight from the off,” said John, about the Chicago stop.

“The last time we performed together in Chicago was in 2000 I think, and we’re one of the few DJ acts to play in House Of Blues since.”
