Rising breakbeat stars Slyde [a] have just launched their own label, Slybeats, with the mammoth debut release ‘Move Ya Body’ (video above).

Slyde were the original creators of ‘Frequency’, the huge breakbeat track from 2008 which NAPT remixed magnificently, and their more recent cut ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’ showed the duo are capable of creating their own inspired sounds - the track balanced nu skool breakbeat with electro-acid synths and raw UK rap.

Slyde call their sound “electro sleaze”, which fits quite nicely with ‘Move Ya Body’. With dubstep-styled moving bass, cowbell driven percussion, and an energetic electro chord breakdown, it’s simply massive, and gives yet more hope to the UK-centric breakbeat scene which has truly been lagging in recent years.

There’s also a rather silly and fun electro house remix from Dirty Moolah, and another frenetic etcher version from Slyde.

All in all, Slyde are proving to be one of the smoothest acts in breakbeat today.
