Video: Le Le ‘Disco Monster’

Dutch trio Le Le [a] have produced some seriously funky disco nuggets in recent years, including 2008’s crossover hit ‘Breakfast’. Their latest release, ‘Disco Monster’, looks likely to become one of the biggest nu disco records of the year, thanks in part to an amazing Azari & III remix - Canada’s Dinamo Azari and Alixander III are our top picks for the nu disco scene this year.

The video for ‘Disco Monster’ (above) showcases the kind of fun and frollicky dance pop Le Le are all about, with gritty black and white faces segued with torchlight images of a disco venue and a dancefloor.

What makes the music of Le Le so interesting, is that it always has a driving house underbelly that gives their records essential dancefloor punch.

With hints of acid, synth pop, and a ‘80s attitude, Le Le are a colourful alternative to the sometimes monochromatic house scene.
