Our friends DanceTrippin caught up with minimal mastermind Richie Hawtin as he took part in a Minus night at Amnesia in Ibiza this summer.

In this video, we have clips of the Minus night at Amnesia, plus a conversation with Hawtin. 

Richie Hawtin gives some detail about his introduction into the electronic music scene in Detroit, just across the border from Windsor, Ontario.

The artist also known as Plastikman also goes into the Minus phenomenon and the Minus night at Amnesia with Cocoon.

We hear about Hawtin’s first visit to Ibiza, and how the experience is vastly different for him today.

We also get some ideas about maintaining the energy and enthusiasm of his youth when it comes to both Minus and his own sound.
