Club Yellow in Tokyo finally closed its doors at around 5am on Monday 23rd June after 17 glorious years of electronic music bliss.

Beatportal was there for the entire week and attended every closing party to report on the closure of one of the greatest dance music clubs the world has ever seen.

But then we realised that many of you may not have been to Club Yellow, and that our usual text and photos wouldn’t do the experience of attending Club Yellow’s final parties real justice.

So we thought we would film the parties as well, but rather than just show the high points of the night, we would film the mundane too.

The queue at the bar, the club’s famous hypnotic flashing lights, the clubbers asleep on the stairs after a marathon dance, the happy party goers in the queue outside, as well as the usual highlights from the DJ booth and the big dancefloor destroying tracks.

We hope it gives you some feeling as to what made Club Yellow so special, and what it was like to attend the club’s last ever parties.
