Dizzee Rascal and Armand Van Helden’s collaboration ‘Bonkers’ is set to go to No.1 in the UK Top 40 chart this week. As you can see by the video it’s proper electro house, which is quite a triumph considering house very rarely makes it to the top.

Dizzee’s defection into dance music began last year when Calvin Harris produced his award-winning single ‘Dance Wiv Me’ (NME crowned ‘Dance Wiv Me’ Best Dancefloor Filler of 2008).

Rascal told Britain’s The Sun newspaper recently, “"Armand just emailed me the track entirely out of the blue. I had it for ages before I did anything with it. I used to hate house music. I really hated pop, but I get it now. 

“The new album is a definite move away from grime for me. I can’t get any more hardcore than I was.”

Armand Van Helden hasn’t hit No.1 in the UK since his 1999 hit ‘U Don’t Know Me’ (released on Ffrr Records).
