Dennis Ferrer’s house hit ‘Hey Hey’ has been snapped up by Defected Records in the UK, after topping the Beatport Top 10 on Ferrer’s own Objektivity label.

Pete Tong named the track his Essential New Tune recently on his Essential Selection show on BBC Radio 1, calling it “quality from start to finish...a return to the finest virtues of house music”.

Defected put together this promo video to push the track ahead of issuing a new set of remixes. The late contender may well become the biggest house single of the year.

‘Hey Hey’ is a simple house track with a gorgeous vocal that is instantly recognisable. The growing success of the track proves that there is still a real hunger for full on singalong vocals in house music, which have been few and far between in the percussive loop-dominated house scene of the past 18 months.
