In this video, Ableton Live showcase the made-for-Live new Akai APC40 controller which is the controller Ableton’s users have been dreaming of for years.

As you can see, the APC40 gives very intuitive hands-on control of Ableton, which has always been one of the big problems for performers who want to use Ableton Live on stage.

You know those lame jokes that people crack about artists “checking emails” or “looking at porn” when using Ableton on stage? Well, they could be confined to the history books thanks to the APC40.

The Akai APC40 controller looks likely to retail for around $399 too.
