What do you get if you cross the hip hop electro mash-up vibe of A-Trak with house legend Armand Van Helden? Some seriously funky summer house music.

The American pair’s new project Duck Sauce is on course to becoming one of the most-talked about collaborations of the year, with the duo’s first release ‘aNyway / You’re Nasty’ blowing up club soundsystems and gatecrashing radio station playlists.

In this video filmed in the studio, A-Trak and Van Helden explain how they first met and why they decided to produce music together.

What’s so exciting about Duck Sauce is that their music sounds like classic disco house, but it has been updated with some serious production trickery.

‘aNyway’ swings with funky male vocals and pristine house basslines, and quite simply, reeks of a future house anthem. There isn’t a lot of music that is being produced today that has such crossover potential right off the bat.

B side ‘You’re Nasty’ is a little more underground, with disco funk colliding with ruff electro sounds. With just the right amount of sexy disco fun in the breaks, the track will undoubtedly become a hit too.

Overall, Duck Sauce are putting out perfect party house music and it’s exciting to see where they head next.
