The chances are, if you’re an electronic music-loving punk, you’ve seen and been influenced by a Manga film.
As it goes, Vexille [the latest Japanese anime to blow minds across the board] is laced with a pulsating techno and electronica soundtrack.
The music and OST of Vexille features an electronic, techno and trance theme, produced by Basement Jaxx, Boom Boom Satellites, Asian Dub Foundation, Dead Can Dance, Carl Craig, The Prodigy, DJ Shadow, M.I.A and Paul Oakenfold.
Co-written by Sori Handa [a veteran of the Digital Domain visual effects company and one of the key character animators on James Cameron’s Academy Award winning Titanic], Sori has focused his talents on bringing to the screen a trippy spectacle that has raised the bar
as far as digital animation is concerned.

Vexille and its OST has just been released on DVD and CD respectively, with Blu-ray edition to follow shortly.
So if you like your movies sci-fi, replete with Japanese robots blowing the bejesus out of each other and an underground dance-music soundtrack, its timed to get Vexilled.
