The partnership made in afterhours heaven returns to drop another peaktime bomb.

Guido Schneider and Andre Galluzzi pairing up in the studio can only mean one thing.

Peak time, minimalistic freakery.

Their latest club weapon ‘Baccara’ forms the A-Side of their next release on Berlin label Highgrade with an another collaboration between two Berliners Todd Bodine and Daniel Fx on the flipside.

And even though the B-side is killer enough in its own right, its greatly overshadowed by the might of ‘Baccara.’

If you loved their last release ‘Albertino’ on Cadenza you’ll already have an inkling of what’s in store.

Tense, jittery beats and percussion tug a nagging melody into a murky abyss of sampled Indian vocals and soaring effects before launching into a tough groove.

The track may be minimal in description but the level of detail is a mark of the talent of its producers.

From the ethereal breakdowns to the live instruments in the percussion, each part of the track is perfectly weighed to create a wall of climactic noise that floors the club each time without floundering into a mess of noise at any point. 

Perhaps it’s due to dancefloor knowledge gained by Andre Galluzzi for his role as resident for Berlin powerhouse of peaktime weirdness, The Panorama Bar, or Guido Schneider’s impeccable reputation as one of techno’s current leading lights, but each contribution from this partnership so far has combined equal parts deepness and surreal, dancefloor anarchy.

‘7 Eleven’ on the flip is also worth checking.

Built around soaring melodies and jumpy synths, its similarly peaktime fuel for dancefloors like London’s Fabric or Valencia’s ‘Barracca’ but is likely to be overshadowed by the big names behind ‘Baccara’.

If you’re a sucker for keeping on top of the tunes that matter, then you’ll need both.
