Unmixed compilations are becoming more and more common even in the world of digital download music - however, there are not so many of them with only previously unreleased, exclusive content available.
Vanguard vol. 2 from Tribal Vision Records, compiled by label head DJ Slater, follows the path of previous compilations of this imprint. While the past ones brought us some legendary tunes from the artists such as Dousk, Jerome Isma-Ae, Chris Micali, Peter Juergens, Eelke Kleijn, Thomas Penton, Vibrasphere or Solead, the new selection is surely not going to dissapoint progressive and techno fans either.
All the ten tracks are brand new and fresh – from dark tech house sounding James Harcourt remix of Nipp and techno monsters by Yotopia, Duca, Miki Litvak and Peter Gun, to more melodic progressive pieces by Komytea, Hidra and especially Astronivo, whose fantastic big room Reaching Alizeta is already breaking the Beatport progressive house chart.
All in all this very special release is surely worth your attention, especially if you are looking for some innovative, dancefloor-oriented tunes on the edges of prog and techno music.
