Upcoming release: Jamie Jones ‘911’

Jamie Jones definitely has a thing for tongue-in-cheek drug references, take for instance his last years ’Still here?’ EP on Dan Ghenacia’s label Freak N Chic.
On his third single for the re-activated Crosstown Rebels, he is taking it to the next level.
Taking a sample of a hilarious (and true) emergency call of a cop who ate too many pot brownies and can’t handle being toasted (”Time is moving really, really slow. I think I am dying ...“), Jamie Jones builds a dark and bouncy minimal-techno track around parts of the conversation between the paranoid and stoned cop and the operator.
Needless to say that it’s already one of Pete Tong’s favourites.
‘911’, as the track is aptly titled, will hit the stores in early August, as will Jamie Jones’ special remix of one his own creations, ’Panic’, the first release of Crosstown Rebels new digital-only sub-label CDR.
And as if this wasn’t enough, Jamie Jones’ debut album is also about to be ready and is eagerly anticipated to be released at the end of the year.
