Pepsi Calvin Harris Remix Contest

Underworld pick their winning remix

Underworld pick their winning remix

Underworld’s “Bird 1” remix contest has been a huge success, with 330 entries, nearly 25,000 page views, and a comments thread totally more than 500 comments so far.

Now, with the spins tallied and Beatport’s picks taken into account, Underworld and OM Records have listened to all the finalists themselves. Proclaiming themselves “very, very happy” with how the contest went, they’ve made their decision!

Read on to find out who won.

Our grand prize winner is San Francisco’s Marshall Watson, who takes home an amazing studio bundle including a pair of KRK Systems VXT6 Studio Monitors, Native Instruments Traktor Pro, a Native Instruments Maschine, a pair of SHURE SRH840 Professional Monitoring Headphone, a JanSport Antics Backpack + Travel Luggage, and an Underworld care package featuring Limited Edition Super Deluxe Release + T-shirt—plus, finally, a $200 Beatport voucher.

Marshall told us, “This is just awesome… Underworld keep coming out with amazing material, and since the early ‘90s, they have never disappointed me—what a great privilege to remix their work! I’m so happy you guys and Rick and Karl were into my remix effort.  Thank you so much for the opportunity.”

Our two runners up are Athens’ Space Blanket and New York’s Eisenhardt; they each win prize bundles including KRK Systems VXT4W Studio Monitors, Native Instruments Traktor Pro, SHURE 1 SRH440 Professional Shure Headphones, a JanSport Antics Backpack, the Underworld CD + DVD Release of Barking, and $100 Beatport voucher.

Congratulations to our three winners, and thanks to everyone who entered, listened, and voted!
