One of the hottest remixes of the year has finally arrived, courtesy of Kristian Beyer & Frank Wiedemann aka Ame.

Their remix of Underworld ‘Crocodile’ is one of the best remixes I’ve heard all year.

Whilst the original is a distinctively poppy house number by the British electronic band, Âme’s version is a slow-burning (over 10 mins) deep house groover that’ll grow on you.

By cutting up the vocal and spreading it delicately over floaty ambient key chords, Âme have managed to create an serene mood, that like all Âme tracks, builds in intensity and emotion.

Their Innervisions Orchestra Mix is everything that you want from a deep house record - it’s a mood setter, has warm inviting sounds and is textually rich, like a hot soup with strong flavour.

There’s also some half decent Pete Heller and Oliver Huntemann remixes of ‘Crocodile’ available, but for me it’s all about the Âme remix.
