have marked him out as a key player in the North American techno nu-school, and here he returns to Butane’s Alphahouse imprint for more sinister fun.
Honing down the ricocheting percussion of his other work into a starker, sharper groove, both tracks are designed with the foggy hours of the night in mind.
The title track works cascading twinkles and a sleazy bass riff under a searing analogue swell, taking its cue from the cheeky mock-horror style of Heartthrob.
On the flip, ‘I Love My Lonely’ is a perkier affair, with crashing snares and a rolling cyber-disco vibe.
It’s sneaky, snappy and strangely sexy stuff.
