Trentemoller’s first ever mix CD
Trentemoller’s first ever mix CD
16 March, 2009 | 1.13AMDanish producer and DJ Trentemoller
will release his first ever mix CD ‘Harbour Boat Trips - Copenhagen by Trentemoller’ in May, having recently retouched ‘Wrong’, a track from the new Depeche Mode album.
But a standard DJ mix CD, it ain’t.
Despite being one of the leading lights in techno with a number of heavy hitting releases on Poker Flat
, and having released an award-winning artist album ‘The Last Resort’, Trentemoller has so far avoided cashing in on his fame with a mix compilation.
Now it seems Trentemoller was taking his time in order to compile something that was very personal and special to him: ‘Harbour Boat Trips’ contains a kaleidoscopic array of sounds, compiled from four decades of music.
It’s very much a mix of influences behind the mastermind, than a club mix by the DJ: with shoegazing moments and neo-folk tracks from Alan Vega, Emiliana Torrini and Liz Harris.
