Trentemoller goes ghost riding

The Danish producer Trentemoller has previously been linked to minimal techno and moody downtempo, but he definitively sheds those associations with the rocking new video for “Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!”

Filmed at Roskilde, it’s an over-the-top, full-band blast of bluesy rock riffs and frenzied live drumming—the latter performed by none other than fashion designer Henrik Vibskov, who also created the dancers’ outfits.

“Silver Surfer” is the third single from Trentemoller’s 2010 album, Into the Great Wilde Yonder. For new material in his more customary style, don’t miss his new EP, ...Even Though You’re with Another Girl, featuring remixes from Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Pantha Du Prince. And for anyone who misses his punchier, tech-house days, “Polar Shift,” “Sunstroke” and “Killer Kat” have just been reissued as part of Poker Flat’s The A Sides.
