Trentemøller tours and compiles

Anders Trentemoller, better known simply by his last name, and his band are embarking on a tour of North America for the first two weeks of October.

He’s also releasing a collection of exclusives and highlights of his work thus far as ‘The Trentemøller Chronicles’.

With just one critically acclaimed full-length CD under his belt, ‘The Last Resort’, and several EPs, he’s now unleashing his difficult-to-categorize talent via a two-disc ‘The Trentemøller Chronicles’.

The first disc features the artist in a mix session with his own material.

The second disc includes remixes that Trentemøller has done for others artists, including The Knife, Royksopp, Moby and Djuma Soundsystem.

The release of new and previously released material is out on CD and on double vinyl on Steve Bug’s Audiomatique label in October.

Going hand-in-hand with the release is the current live activity, resulting in a North American tour with his live band in early October.

It is something of a rarity for electronic acts to perform with live acoustic musicians.

While Trentemøller handles electronics, he relies on his fellow talent from Denmark to give him a hand.

The live set-up includes drummer (and international fashion designer) Henrik Vibskov and guitarist and bassist Mikael Simpson, a musician in his own right.

Visuals crafted by video director Karim Ghahwagi are a prominent part of the performance.

After the North American dates, the tour picks up in Iceland, moving to Europe and Australia.
