Trance producer Eric Tadla of EnMass passes away

Eric Tadla, one half of the talented trance production duo EnMass, passed away on Saturday night.

No details have been released about his death yet, but his long-serving production partner Randy Boyer sent an email out to the electronic music industry today with the sad news.

“I’m sorry to be writing you this letter, but I have some extremely bad news to share with you,” wrote Randy Boyer.

“My production partner of over eight years, and great friend Eric Tadla passed away this past Saturday night.”

Randy Boyer and Eric Tadla (Tadla can be seen on the left of the photo) produced together for eight years and composed over 60 songs as EnMass.

The duo had a number of high profile releases on Armin Van Buuren’s Armada Music as well as releases on Paul Van Dyk’s Vandit, and were well on their way to becoming established stars.

“Anybody who knows trance, will tell you that EnMass ‘CQ’ is a tune that will never be forgotten within the trance community, and that it touched the hearts of many acoss the world,” said Istmo Music’s Fernando Kriete.

On Friday his label Istmo Music released EnMass’ last ever EP before Eric Tadla’s death entitled ‘Light Years Away’.

“At Istmo Music, we are very sad and touched about his loss. Right now our thoughts are with his friends and family,” said Fernando Kriete.

Randy Boyer said he was “still in shock”, but felt that it was his “obligation” to let the electronic music community know.

“Eric was a great person, with a huge heart and always escaped from life by making music, and I know that he would want to have his music live on, which I know it will.”
