Trance around the world

So, it seems that wherever you are in the world this weekend, there’s a trance party nearby.

On Friday night The Love From Above event proves Berlin isn’t just for techno heads - although headliner Paul van Dyk has stated that he does play harder sets depending on the crowd.

He’ll be joined by Judge Jules and Deadmau5 at the Arena on the River Spree.

Ahead of the infamous Love Parade in a couple of weeks, it looks like Berlin is definitely the place to be this month.

Elsewhere, award winning event organisers, ID&T are hosting another of their Sensation White parties on Saturday night at the Amsterdam ArenA in Holland.

Although the Sensation parties have been criticised by some for not including enough trance acts, the line up for this year’s annual Amsterdam event does include tech-trancer Marco V.

If you are planning to attend, remember to wear white, otherwise you will not be admitted entry and even if you can’t make it this time, put Sensation White on your clubbing to-do list: Events like this are something only the Dutch do best.

Also on the Saturday, there’s Dance Island in Cambridgeshire, England, with Slinky hosting the Hard Arena for all you harder trance fans.

The outdoor festival will have five huge arenas, featuring the likes of Mauro Picotto, John O’Callaghan and Agnelli & Nelson in the Big arena, with The Tidy Boys, BK and Kim Ayres in the Slinky arena.

So wherever you party this weekend, give your furry boots an outing and get your glowstick-wielding arms in the air…
