deserves praise for going to the trouble of making a proper home listening album, but there’s something two-dimensional about this collection.
Taking its cues from film soundtracks, ambience and glitchy abstract techno, it ebbs and flows pleasantly and there are some excellent pieces, like the beautiful ‘She Let Some Light In’ and the atmospheric ‘Autoerotica’.
Unfortunately though, Touane’s sound is too under-produced and understated, and leaves little lasting impression.
Back to the drawing board methinks.
