Digging into Music Man Records‘ back catalogue today, I stumbled upon Aril Brikha’s remix of Deetron’s ‘I Cling feat. Ovasoul 7’ and immediately was taken back to moment of dancefloor ecstasy.

The track is one of the best vocal techno records ever made, and is a perfect example of how to do vocals in electronic music.

Rather than flood the record with verse after verse, the vocals on ‘I Cling’ are treated like musical parts, juxtaposed against the brilliant melodic synth line.

The synths are floaty and trancey, but the bassline underneath grips you hard.

It’s an amazing record.
