Top Track: Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner ‘Delayed’

The Berlin duo Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner [a] are scoring big deep techno points for their latest release.

‘Earworm’ was one of last year’s biggest minimal techno tracks.

From Hawtin down, it was thrashed to pieces by all the scene’s biggest names.

Based around a chopped-up, effect-laden Middle Eastern vocal hunched around a club whalloping slab of bass, it destroyed clubs everywhere and proved to be Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner’s biggest release yet.

The duo are back with ‘Bazar Inflagranti’. The lead track of the same name attempts to chart similar territory to Ear Worm, using an ominous Middle Eastern vocal as its hook.

It’s functional but otherwise uneventful but it’s the B-side ‘Delayed’ that has been finding most favour amongst DJs.

Artists like Shinedoe, 2000andOne, Sebo K, Layo, D’Julz have all been dropping it.

The track is built around a looping filtered sample that winds in and out of a sample of an English-accented man attempting to pay for sex (at least that’s what it sounds like to us!).

Deep and hypnotic, it’s perfect for late night grooves and lost-in-the-bass dancefloor moments.
