Sometimes you hear a track that is, if you will, an instant classic. The Crookers mix of rising rap star Kid Cudi is that track.

Whereas Sinden’s bassline anthem ‘Beeper’ last year annoyed and delighted people in equal measures, ‘Day ‘N’ Nite’, although also a crass, bass heavy monster, pales in comparison of offensiveness.

Firstly, there are no beeper noises. Secondly there is no one talking about how you can contact them on a paging device.

Cudi has an effortless flow to his vocal delivery and a simplicity to his lyrics that prey on you like a daydream spiralling way out of control.

Penetrating your long term memory banks on the very first listen, if an American presidential candidate got Kid Cudi to vocally deliver his campaigns he would be laughing.

Now a name almost synonymous with amazingly produced, huge baseline remixes, The Crookers blow this one up so big it comes dangerously close to exploding sound barriers and causing who knows what to the normal atmosphere that we exist in.
