When I join Nic Fanciulli on tour on Thursday, I’ll also get the chance to hang out with KOS who is one of the most promising new DJ talents from the UK.

With both Nic and James Zabiela heavily supporting the London-based producer and DJ, and KOS on the books of the influential DJ agencies Bullitt bookings and Club Class, there are plenty of people tipping him for greater things.

KOS put together this Global Underground pre-tour Top 10 DJ chart for us, which showcases the deep techno and house sound that has become synonymous with his popular Familia club nights in Britain. It also gives some clue as to what to expect from him during the tour.

Sitting at No.1 in KOS’ chart is Rino Cerrone and Flavio Diaz ‘Miseno’, a driving techno cut. Next is Nick Curly’s ‘Stuntman’, a deep tech house roller with a groovy bassline that is followed by KOS’ own rather large tech stabber ‘Fashionista’.

Taking things back in the other direction is The Mole’s stunning ‘For The Lost’, a hypnotic deep house cut dripping with atmosphere and tension.

Reboot, Dubfire and Missy Jay keep things hypnotic and techy, whilst Jamie Jones brings some lighthearted soul to the chart with his smash ‘Summertime’.

There are many different moods and rhythms in KOS’ chart, as one would expect from an opening DJ who is scheduled to warm up at all manner of club night occasions during the tour.

It will be interesting to see how he builds his sets each night in order to give Nic Fanciulli the perfect launch pads.
