Timur Valiev - The Nu Road
Timur Valiev - The Nu Road
29 May, 2009 | 1.57AMSometimes it looks like its time to get used to experimental mood of every next Indeks music release, but lot of people get surprised again. For sure there is reason for that something that has been stable for all this time was finally changed sound palette.
The Nu Road compilation adds to its mainly balanced sound some smell of waste (in the way of acid sluts).
So, the release includes original the nu road and 2 versions of disorted sound from Beatrix Trixy and Rudolph Palladin.
the nu road (original)
Reliable base of the tracks consists of classic analog setup, all length of which takes not horizontal path, but sound reproduced in all depth of stereo, where the most thin sound imitations are reflected on the edge of chord changes and sound filling test.
the nu road (Beatrix Trixy remix)
The work may be described like synonym of quality remix made in a close to the original mood, but sounding here is arranged already in the role of synchopyied rhytm sections, funk ambient targeting on the bass line + some cheerful sounds made on tb-909.
Rudolph Palladino
making the difference between Original and Beatrix versions, Palladino goes another way and extracts from the old machine viscous sound passages and deaf (but palpable) bass parts. It sounds harder, sometimes more minimalistic, expression of which is based on constant repetitions, loop prototypes, transfers into which should be heard on very quality sound systems and under concentrated attention toward this hypnotic balance.
In general this 3 tracks work may sound heavy for ears, but absence of noise samples gives it some very special authentic music attitude, where any innovation approach is totally missing.
