Tim Exile gets mouthy

Ah, that crazy Tim Exile. He’s actually dangerously close to becoming more famous for his Native Instruments videos than he is for his own music. And why not? Tim’s instructional videos are actually a lot more fun (and musical) than many artists’ “real” tracks.

This time, he’s here to tell us about The Mouth, a new software instrument that turns any audio signal into harmonic output, vocoder-style.

(Here’s hoping that when Dave Tompkins’ history of the vocoder, How to Wreck a Nice Beach, gets turned into an audiobook, they’ll hire Tim Exile to record it.)
