Remixes from Edit Select, Audio Injection, Drumcell and Dustin Zahn provide punishing techno remakes which will surely do damages in your techno venues.
Hernan Cattaneo & John Tonks, ‘July’/’Fereek’ [Sudbeat Music]

New on Modeselektor’s MonkeyTown Label comes the new eccentric release from Berlin’s Siriusmo

Taking influences from the French house scene and mixing in some indie dance, modern creativity and that Siriusmo touch, ‘The Plasterer of Love’ is a tasty, delicious piece of fun and a brilliant way to start your week, whilst ‘Einmal in Der Woche Schreien’ is a moody, glitchy pop track that will either make you dance emphatically or cry or both.
Ajapai, ‘Mobilized’ EP [Rottun Recordings]

Excision’s dubstep imprint Rottun Recordings
is quite possibly the heaviset in the business. Not to disappoint, they’ve brought in a fresh face with Tokyo’s Ajapai who sets in motion some of the nastiest rhythms the label’s seen to date. The constantly morphing and twisting basslines are assured to delight those only satisfied by the hardest tracks.

After over a decade in the techno business, Tim Xavier
has unleashed his debut album to the world entitled ‘Viperfish.’ Already our album of the week on Beatportal, we couldn’t help but focus some attention to his fresh DJ chart to coincide with the release. His ten selected tracks cover a very nice range of warehouse grooves, from the heads down funk of Quenum’s remix on Thema, to prime time monsters ala Edit Select, Dustin Zahn and a personal pick from his album itself.

The dynamic sound of Koen Groeneveld
continues to emerge with his latest release ‘Disko Tek EP 2’. Spearheading the hard house sound in Holland in the late ‘90s, Koen has a deep discography that showcases his emerging sound of electronic music. In 2008 he scored two #1s with ‘Wake Turbulence’ and Fatboy Slim vs. Koen Groeneveld ‘Rockafeller Skank’. Released on his own Abzolut label ‘Disko Tek EP 2’ is a tough and funky piece of work suited with two tracks ready to rocket up the charts.

Bryan Ferry has been one of pop music’s most iconic figures for over four decades now, and he’s still innovating. Beat Noire (a pun on the French term “bête noire,” which also happened to be the title of his 1987 album) is Ferry’s new label dedicated to dance music, featuring acts like Rub n Tug, Headman, and the Glimmers remixing Roxy Music classics and new material like Ferry’s instant classic, ‘You Can Dance’.

Star 69 Records is the brainchild of Grammy Award winner Peter Rauhofer. The Star 69 discography is a heavy hitting roster of artists from Pet Shop Boys to Frankie Goes to Hollywood. With a new focus on the label, Star 69 is still working the big room New York tribal house sound. It’s signing tracks from up-and-coming talent and remixing big classics like Lula’s ‘The DJ’s List’ and Celeda’s ‘The Underground’.
Featured Label: Immerse Records

Founded in 2006 by the DJ/producer Kidkut, the Immerse label traverses the darkened passageways linking dubstep, drum & bass, breakbeat, and techno. It’s steeped in the musical history of Bristol—home to many of bass culture’s most exciting mutations over the years—but its roster ranges from South Africa to San Francisco, featuring established heavyweights like Benga and Horsepower Productions alongside up-and-comers like TRG and Kontext.
Featured Chart: Dinky
The lovely Dinky’s taste in house music is second to none. She been wowing Sven Vath and the Cocoon crew for years, as well as countless of fans who have embarked on one of her DJ sets. Classic influences and head nodding grooves are apparent in her latest ten selections for Beatport. Tracks from Ron Trent, Anonym, Ame and Dinky herself are included, offering a perfect house music soundtrack for the warm summer days and crisp cool nights.
