Riding closely behind the success of the first set of reworks, Mauro Picotto returns with the second edition of remixes from his critically acclaimed artist album. For round two, remixes from Cari Lekebusch, Lutzenkirchen, and Emanuele Inglese provide slammin’ results. To rock the club with some pounding grooves, look no further than this remix package. It has something for everyone who’s into the darker side of underground dance music.
Zoo Brazil, ‘Match’ [SCI+TEC Digital Audio]

John Andersson and his Zoo Brazil guise have swapped the noisy synths and buzzing sounds for pure groove on his latest release. Tracky, simple warehouse grooves and spaced-out chord structure are sure to lift spirits in dark techno rooms. Marc Romboy & Blake Baxter, ‘Muzik’ [Systematic]

Marc Romboy and Blake Baxter have teamed up on tech-house collaborations countless times, with each finished track being an essential purchase. The latest joint effort comes with unbelievable production and a catchy spoken word from Mr. Baxter himself. Rising star KiNK provides the remix on the B-side, and it’s another outstanding production - proper high energy music and thought-out arrangement with an old school vibe.
Hugo, ‘The Bright Side’ [Goodvibe]

Goodvibe’s debut release from rising talent Hugo is a peak-time tech-house bomb that we can’t get enough of. Pounding drums, crisp productions, and pure unquenchable grooves are what this EP is about, with three original tracks of unrelenting club music. Format:B joins the debut release with an unreal remix that boosts energy levels and pushes even more party rocking flavor into the EP. An incredible debut from a label we’ll be watching very closely.

The hype of Nick Curly is undeniable as he takes his career to new heights with each release. The “Ancient People EP” keeps Curly and 8Bit at the forefront of the scene with hypnotic grooves and an old school flare while maintaining those deep, dark, percussive elements.
Luke Abbott, ‘Holkham Drones’ [Border Community]

Off of James Holden’s label, Border Community, comes Luke Abbott’s debut full-length release ‘Holkam Drones’. The set is more subdued than Border Commnity’s A-list crowd anthems of yore, but Abbott keeps it moving, evolving and immersive with his new brand of drones. Powerful stuff.

The mighty Kompakt label drops its annual ‘Total’ compilation, and it’s one of the strongest ever, featuring DJ Koze, Superpitcher, Matias Aguayo, Michael Mayer, Gui Boratto, The Field and many more. Running from unorthodox rave anthems to deep house to experimental electronica, it’s an essential snapshot of one of Germany’s most iconic labels.
Chilly Gonzales, ‘Ivory Tower’ [Boysnoize Records]

Hot on the heels of ‘I Am Europe’, Chilly Gonzales releases ‘Ivory Tower’, the full-length album to accompany his forthcoming feature film. Co-produced by Boys Noize, it’s an absorbing and unpredictable mix of electronic pop, acoustic arrangements, classic disco, white-dude rapping and chess themes. You won’t hear another record like it this year.
Azari & III, ‘Reckless With Your Love Remixes 01’ [Permanent Vacation]

Tensnake takes the house anthem from Azari & III and makes turns into a classic ‘90s rave record mixing in elements of C&C Music Factory and Soul II Soul. While maintaining the massive vocals from the original, Tensnake has managed to connect all the musical dots from the past 20 years in one seven-minute long re-production.
Katy B feat. Benga & DJ Zinc, ‘On A Mission’ [Rinse]

Dubstep badman Benga produces the beat with the absolutely darling Katy B on vocals. A club night translation with the catchiest of lyrical melodies… this one’s already climbing the UK charts, and we expect it to do big things. It’s dubstep gone pop… done right! The weather report, for anyone planning a visit: groovy, and a 90% chance of sweat - on the dancefloor, that is.
Andy Murphy & Reekay Garcia, ‘Sneakerz Music Presents One Love’ [Sneakerz Muzik]

What a whopper of a release this is! A split effort between Andy Murphy and Reekay Garcia, ‘Sneakerz Muzik Presents One Love’ is an electro house masterpiece of fully functional dancefloor gear, set to tear the place apart. To sweeten the release even more, impressive remixes from Riva Starr, Lee Mortimer, Tommie Sunshine and Danny T are all provided, each with plenty of punch and peak hour power. This is another winning release from this bestselling label which we’re sure you’re going to love.
Christian Smith, ‘Tronic’ [Opus One]

Christian Smith’s latest two track release for Tronic, ‘Opus One’, is the sort of release which shows exactly why Smith is riding high at the moment. The release comes in the form of two peak time A-side bombs designed to destroy the party. The title track, ‘Opus One’ comes complete with an acid bassline and brilliant drums and is pure unadulterated nightclub music for grown up techno freakzoids. The flip side features ‘Pump This Groove’ which is a lo-slung funky techno workout produced with sheer Christian Smith guaranteed effectiveness. Support from Carl Cox, Dubfire and Nic Fanciulli.
Sander Kleinenberg, ‘The Fruit 2010 Remixes’ [Little Mountain]

Sander Kleinenberg nutures the up-incoming production talents of Netherlands’ Redondo and Love Girls on the 2010 remixes of his hit ‘The Fruit’. Thick juicy beats from Redondo while Love Girls take a deeper approach with rich chord stabs and chuggy percussion.
Tim Berg, Norman Doray & Sebastien Drums, ‘Tweet It’ [Size]

Expect nothing less than explosive dancefloor madness with a collaboration from three of the industry’s finest on the mighty Size records. Tension and excitement build with epic strings, piano rolls, and thick key stabs making this another killer peak-hour monster tune!
Tim Berg, ‘Alcoholic Part II’ [JOIA]

Another release from the Swedish label Joia Records. Produced by none other than Tim Berg (aka Avicii), this track is a banger! Featuring a total of four remixes from Alesso, Richard Grey, Dada Life and a final collaborating remix between three Swedish producers Niklas Gustavsson, Ludvig Holm & Jonas Sellberg. Four remixes with an excellent high standard.
Gareth Emery, ‘Sanctuary’ [Garuda]

Sanctuary is the first single taken from Gareth Emery’s debut album ‘Northern Lights’ to be released on September 23. The release features the vocals of dance newcomer Lucy Saunders as well as a massive Sean Tyas remix. ‘Sanctuary’ has been causing quite a stir over the last few weeks, being named as “Future Favourite” on Armin van Buuren’s ASOT radio show as well as picking up “Web Vote Winner” on Above & Beyond’s TATW radio show Other DJs to show their support include Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz.
